Recruitment strategy and advice
We have a robust recruitment process which is consistent and well developed to ensure a successful outcome. Depending on your vacancy, your consultant will recommend the most effective methods and appropriate strategy to target the right candidate in the market.

Our sourcing process
  • We have face-to-face discussions to ensure we have a mutual understanding of your business and the culture in which it operates, and we agree on the selection criteria to be used in the assignment.
  • We prepare an assignment specification that summarises our discussions. It will be used as a ‘blueprint’ to describe to candidates the ideal skills and experience needed for the role. You will be asked to sign off on the specifications as the agreed criteria on which the assignment will be based.
  • In addition to searching our national and international databases, we will advertise positions in the print media to attract passive candidates. Any print advertising will be invoiced directly to you at cost. Prior to the advertisement being placed, a draft will be forwarded to you for approval.
  • We perform an initial screening of all applicants.
  • We evaluate each potential candidate’s fit with the brief and their readiness to consider alternative career options. Those whom we believe are appropriate to your needs are invited to attend an interview with Clements Recruitment.
  • We conduct face-to-face (where possible) behavioural interviews with candidates.
  • We prepare reports on all candidates who meet the agreed selection criteria, deliver the reports to you personally where possible and discuss the composition of the shortlist.
  • We arrange final interviews for you with the shortlisted candidates.
  • We can conduct optional psychological appraisals for $850 (including GST) and provide a hard copy report and verbal feedback. We can conduct optional psychometric assessments using the Hogan Assessment System for $500 (including GST) and provide a report. Behavioural profiling can also be completed for $150 (including GST).
  • We conduct reference audits on the shortlisted candidates. Unless otherwise agreed, this will take place after your interviews with the applicants and prior to the job offer.
  • We provide feedback to all candidates on the outcome of their applications.

Clements Recruitment has access to a multitude of candidates through our extensive internal database. We have in excess of 12,000 registered candidates who may or may not be actively looking for work. Clements also uses external databases to access a wider pool of qualified candidates.

Clements’ permanent replacement guarantee
Clements offers a replacement guarantee for permanent placements. If a candidate we place leaves for any reason, other than redundancy, within the guarantee period of three months, we will replace that candidate at no additional cost, other than requested advertising.
